The Difference Between Hemp Oil and CBD

If you try to find CBD online, you might come across similar looking products that contain hemp oil. While it can be marketed in a similar manner to CBD, it’s manufacturing process and effects are completely different. Hemp oil is in no way the same as CBD

While both are derived from industrial hemp, hemp oil is typically pressed from the seeds of the plant, which contains no cannabinoids.

Meanwhile, CBD oil and other CBD products come from the whole hemp plant and are filled with cannabinoids. These cannabinoids promote homeostasis and are responsible for relief from pain, anxiety, insomnia, and much more that CBD can lead to. So if that’s what you are looking, you’ll be much better off with CBD than with hemp oil.

While hemp oil can’t give you the same effect that CBD does, it does have health benefits. Hemp oil is rich in vitamins B, B1, B2 and E, as well as magnesium, potassium and fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega- 6, and is full of protein and antioxidants. It even contains all 10 essential amino acids.

It’s also often used as a cosmetic product, as it’s a great moisturizer for hair and skin care. Products like this beard oil from East Tennessee Hemp Company combine hemp oil, vitamin e and tea tree essential oil to keep hair hydrated and fresh.
